So, as a rule of thumb, IVI-COM driver will not work on a Linux OS. This model ultimately poses problems for Linux usersĬOM in general is a Microsoft technology, and is an architecture that is heavily dependent on characteristics specific to the Windows operating system. Part of the reason for this is industry tools commonly used to develop IVI drivers generate an IVI-COM driver at the core, and automatically wrap the IVI-COM driver with an IVI-C driver, thus creating both deliverables. Although only one of the two is required for LXI instruments, it is quite common industry wide, to deliver both with LXI instruments. To understand this, please refer to the following diagram:įirst of all, it is important to note that there are two levels of IVI compliance. For users who wish to use LXI instrumentation, will have this question of whether or not the IVI instrument driver that comes standard with their LXI hardware work in Linux. The alternative of choice tends to be Linux. Two pliers did it for me, just go slow a little at a time, you may need a few tries.Discussing the feasibility of using an IVI instrument driver under a Linux OS.ĭue to the necessity to have ultimate control over the stability and maintenance of their test system, many users prefer to avoid designing their SW to be dependant on a Windows operating system. Removed driver’s door panel (3rd time in 2 years) And bent the onerod upwards and toward’s the lock tab connector, Worked like a charm, Also if you are looking for it, you can see rod that it is bent out of shape. Went to a reputable shop, and they told me to replace the motor. My power door lock driver’s side woul NOT lock! Even though I could hear the motor click. Found some busted wires in the boot and slpiced rewired with butt connnectors. I replaced the master switch ($20) no big deal, worh it to not have to fool around with circuits and such. So I removed the door panel, as well as the boot housing between the doors. PLease note: the owner has a rap sheet, Stay away. Here is my situation: Had the Jeep: 2001 Cherokee Sport, for a bit over 2 years only 80k and pretty nice, All though the dealer in CT (Farmington Auto Park) lied about the conditon of the vehicle and ALL the problems and under cariage rust. Hey thanks so much for the posted informatiom About the bent rods from the drivers side power door locks. I have downloaded 3 pictures to the original question and they appear to be there through edit but I don't see how to access them from here. My thoughts are either the cables got bent, the door brackets are malfunctioning, or something is out of line at the lock mechanism itself which I reached and felt but cannot feel anything wrong but will try to get a better look. Also though the key can be turned it does not lock the door and it resists turning. The mechanical lock/unlock button gets stuck in the forward (lock) position and cannot be put in unlock, although the door is unlocked. It is when I put everything back together that the problem happens. The lock/unlock works correctly whether by key, push/pulling the cables or the power lock button. I have the door panel off right now and the lock cable linkages disconnected. I have looked at the sheets but I am convinced that the issue is mechanical.
